ADC selects Muhammad Dandare Maqera as candidate for Arewa/Dandi in 2027 elections
The African Democratic Congress has confirmed Dandare Maqera for the House of Representatives seat.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially named Hon. Muhammad Dandare Maqera as its candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing the Arewa/Dandi Federal Constituency in Kebbi State for the upcoming 2027 elections. This announcement was made during an affirmation exercise held on Tuesday in Kamba, the administrative center of Dandi Local Government Area.
The affirmation process was overseen by a committee from the ADC, led by its chairman, Dr. Salihu Muhammad Danjimma. He was accompanied by the Secretary-General, Umar Abdullahi, and other committee members. The event also saw participation from key figures within the Kebbi State ADC leadership, including State Vice Chairman Musa Dagwaya Argungu, State Organising Secretary Isah Izamzam, and State Auditor Bello Muhammad.
In addition to the ADC officials, representatives from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were present, along with security agency representatives from the Arewa and Dandi Local Government Areas. The attendance of local ADC executives and party members, including the chairpersons from both local government areas, underscored the significance of the event.
Following the successful affirmation, the ADC declared Dandare Maqera as its official candidate for the Arewa/Dandi Federal Constituency, marking a significant step in the party's preparations for the 2027 elections. This decision reflects the party's confidence in Maqera's ability to represent the interests of the constituents effectively.
