Deji Adeleke expresses unwavering faith in brother's re-election as governor
Deji Adeleke shares his confidence in Ademola's victory following the Osun gubernatorial election.

Deji Adeleke, the elder brother of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has expressed his firm belief in his brother's re-election, which was confirmed after the recent gubernatorial election results. Ademola Adeleke was declared the winner of the election on Sunday, and Deji's confidence in this outcome stemmed from his personal prayers and spiritual fortitude.
In a video captured during the celebration of his brother's victory, Deji shared that he had no doubts about Ademola's success, even before the official results were announced. He emphasized that his faith was rooted in his daily prayers, stating, "I don’t discuss with anybody. I do it in the corner of my room. I do this every day. So, I was not worried. I had no doubt in my mind that Ademola will win. Ademola will overcome."
Deji further elaborated on his spiritual practices, revealing that he often fasts and prays multiple times a day, a ritual he keeps private. His conviction was not merely personal; he also addressed the opposition, asserting that no amount of resources or political power could overshadow divine intervention. "Let them come with all the battalions, withdraw the Army, bring all the money from the Central Bank. Nobody is above God Almighty," he stated, highlighting his belief in the supremacy of faith over political machinations.
He acknowledged the challenges posed by the opposition, particularly those who might be aligned with the presidency, but remained resolute in his support for his brother. "He comes with his wickedness. He comes with the power that he thinks he has because he’s connected to the Presidency. But Ademola comes against them in the power of the Almighty God," Deji asserted.
In his prayers, Deji also sought protection for Governor Adeleke, invoking divine support as he celebrated the victory. "He dances and praises your name. So, Lord Almighty, God, the owner of the universe, show up for him," he prayed, reinforcing the theme of faith that permeated his remarks.
The re-election of Ademola Adeleke marks a significant moment in Osun State politics, and the support from his family, especially from Deji, underscores the personal and spiritual dimensions that often accompany political contests in Nigeria. As the governor prepares for another term, the backing of his brother serves as a reminder of the intertwined nature of faith and politics in the region.
