Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has confidently stated that the political ticket formed with Peter Obi is unbeatable in terms of credibility and capacity for the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Speaking during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja, Kwankwaso emphasized the strength of their alliance, which he believes can effectively challenge any other candidates in the race.

Kwankwaso highlighted that the collaboration between him and Obi aims to create a balanced political platform that resonates with Nigerians across various regional and religious backgrounds. He pointed out that Obi's significant support base in the southern region, combined with his own political influence in the north, positions their ticket as a formidable force in the electoral landscape.

"Nobody, no ticket, can beat our own in terms of credibility, capacity and, of course, love for the country," Kwankwaso asserted. He further claimed that their empathy towards the struggles faced by the poor in Nigeria sets them apart from other contenders. The senator expressed that his experiences from the previous election cycle have deepened his understanding of Obi, reinforcing his belief in their potential to work together effectively.

Kwankwaso also addressed pressing national issues, including the escalating insecurity, poverty, and the deteriorating state of infrastructure in Nigeria. He criticized the removal of the fuel subsidy, stating that it has not led to any significant improvement in the living conditions of Nigerians. Additionally, he pointed out that local farmers are facing challenges due to the influx of cheap imported food, which undermines their livelihoods.

The former governor of Kano State articulated that the alliance among the Kwankwasiyya Movement, the NDC, and Obi's supporters is aimed at fostering a democratic change reminiscent of the transformation seen in 2015. He underscored the principles of fairness, justice, and equity that underpin their partnership, asserting that both leaders are dedicated to enhancing the lives of Nigerians.

Kwankwaso concluded by stating that his acceptance of the vice-presidential position stems from a commitment to national service, emphasizing that it should not merely be viewed as a quest for the second-highest office in the land. This perspective reflects his broader vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria under their leadership.
