In a poignant display of civic duty, 85-year-old Pa Odejide Mosunmoye cast his vote during the ongoing governorship election in Osun State, expressing a strong desire for improved governance that benefits all citizens. Mosunmoye voted at Unit 3, Ward 9, AUD School in Atile, Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area.

After casting his ballot, Mosunmoye shared his thoughts with the News Agency of Nigeria, stating, "I came out in my old age to vote today for the candidate of my choice because I want to see better governance in Osun." He highlighted his long history of participating in elections, recalling that he has been voting since the era of the late Obafemi Awolowo.

The elderly voter acknowledged the imperfections of any government but emphasized the importance of making informed choices when selecting leaders.
