A hotel employee in Niger State has been arrested for stealing eight refrigerators from his workplace. The suspect sold three of them to a scrap dealer, prompting an investigation by local authorities.

The Niger State Police Command has arrested a suspect, Elijah Ahmed, for stealing eight refrigerators in a hotel where he works. The spokesperson for the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement at the weekend said five of the stolen refrigerators were recovered from the suspect while he sold three others to a scrap dealer.
"Based on a complaint, one Elijah Ahmed of Tunga, Abdulsalam motor park area was arrested by Police operatives attached to Tudun-Wada Div for stealing eight refrigerators in a hotel where he works," the PPRO wrote. "During investigation, five of the refrigerators were recovered from him while he had sold three others to a scrap dealer in the area who is currently at large. "The suspect has been charged to court for prosecution."
