A Ghanaian TikTok influencer known simply as Ahmed has confronted police officers after they allegedly tried to arrest his male friends for kissing. During a live session on Tuesday night, Ahmed, who is effeminate, is seen challenging the officers to cite a specific law backing their actions, referencing Ghana's pending LGBTQ legislation. According to Ahmed, there is no law that says a man cannot kiss another man yet, so the police has no right to arrest them. In one of the videos shared, he's heard saying; "If the foolish LGBTQ law hasn't been passed yet then don't tell me that I can't kiss a guy" Then in another video, he's heard challenging an officer that, his friends are not going anywhere, and that he should point out where in the laws that states that two men can't kiss.
