Man found d3ad in Rivers after he was reportedly kidnapped and drugged by unknown assailants
A man has been found dead in Rivers State after allegedly being kidnapped and drugged. Local authorities are investigating the incident amid rising concerns over security in the region.
A yet-to-be identified man was reportedly found d3ad along the Obiri-Ikwerre Flyover axis of the East-West Road in Port Harcourt, River State on Saturday.
According to an eyewitness, unknown persons allegedly dropped the victim out of a Toyota Venza vehicle and drove off.
The eyewitness claimed that before the victim d!ed, he revealed that he was kidnapped and forced him to drink an unknown substance.
The eyewitness further claimed that residents alerted a nearby police patrol team, but no immediate action was taken.
As of about 3:30 p.m., the man's body was still lying at the scene despite the heavy rain.
Residents are urging the Rivers State Government and security agencies to improve security in the state and do more to protect people's lives and property
