Fire breaks out at Lagos airport terminal, no casualty recorded — FAAN
A fire incident occurred at Terminal 2 of Lagos' Murtala Muhammed International Airport. FAAN confirmed no casualties were reported and the situation is under control.
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed a fire incident at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
FAAN, in a statement on Sunday via its official X handle, said its Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) was responding to the incident and working to contain the situation.
The authority assured the public that no casualty or loss of life had been recorded.
“FAAN wishes to inform the public that a fire incident has occurred at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
“The FAAN Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) is currently responding to the incident and working diligently to contain the situation.
“There have been no reported casualties or loss of life,” the statement read.
The authority added that further updates would be provided as more information becomes available.
