A popular model has died in Jos after being brutally assaulted over an iPhone theft accusation. The incident has raised serious concerns about mob justice and community safety.
A model, Ibrahim Mbaya, popularly known as Ibee, has d!ed after he was accused of stealing an iPhone and brutally assaulted in Plateau State.
The incident occurred on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Ring Road area of Jos North Local Government Area.
The chef and contestant for Mr. And Miss Glam, Nigeria 2026, had denied the allegation. However, instead of handing him over to relevant authorities, some people took laws into their hands and subjected him to a brutal assault using various weapons.
He was rushed to a hospital in Jos, where he later succumbed to the injuries he sustained.
