"I have observed a high level of compliance. Today, people are more aware of what constitutes electoral offences and the consequences such violations carry for both political parties and individuals."

The lawmaker said the Ekiti governorship election, alongside by-elections being conducted in other parts of the country, provides an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of the existing electoral framework

"I have gotten reports in all of the 177 polling units. I can assure you that the election, so far, is going very well, very peaceful, transparent and, of course, the people are working together with the relevant security agencies," Mr Sani said.

Yiaga Africa said most polling units had essential voting materials and security presence by noon, although gaps remained in the deployment of some disability-related election materials.

Oyebanji expressed confidence in securing victory, declaring that the APC would surpass its target of 500,000 votes.
