In a shocking case that has drawn attention in Kano State, Salihu Nuhu has admitted to assaulting a married woman, Hassan Uba, over a mere N10. The incident took place in Kura Local Government Area and stemmed from a disagreement following a purchase of a local snack known as funkaso.

According to reports, Salihu had bought the snack for N90 and paid with a N100 note. When a dispute arose regarding the N10 balance, he allegedly entered Hassan's home and physically assaulted her. The attack was severe enough to require hospitalization, where Hassan received medical care, including intravenous fluids.

During the court proceedings at Magistrate Court No. 44 in Kura, Hassan recounted the distressing events, stating that not only did she suffer physical injuries, but she also lost her phone and some money during the chaos as bystanders rushed to assist her.

Salihu Nuhu, upon being presented with the charges by prosecutor Inspector Nasiru Dange, pleaded guilty to the assault. The presiding judge, Muhammad Alhaji Isah, has scheduled the case for judgment on November 19, 2026, as the court continues to address the serious implications of such violence over trivial matters.
