Tanya Brown, sister of the late Nicole Brown Simpson, has expressed a shift in her perspective regarding O.J. Simpson's potential involvement in the disposal of evidence related to the 1994 murders of her sister and Ron Goldman. This change in viewpoint comes after a recent investigation by The New York Times, which has prompted her to contemplate the possibility that Simpson may not have acted alone.

In an interview with TMZ, Tanya revealed that she had previously believed Simpson was solely responsible for the concealment of evidence. However, she now questions whether someone else may have assisted him. "Someone had to have discarded that bag ... and I don't think it was O.J.," she stated, highlighting her doubts about the narrative she had held for years.

The investigation referenced by Tanya includes allegations from Sam Ippolito, who claimed that his late brother, Joseph "Joey" Ippolito, an associate of Simpson, returned home on the night of the murders with blood on his hands and a heavy bag. Sam alleged that he later disposed of this bag in a dumpster, although the contents of the bag and the veracity of these claims remain unproven.

Tanya expressed her frustration with the legal team involved in the original case, suggesting that they may have overlooked crucial information due to their confidence in securing a conviction against Simpson. She also questioned the timing of Sam's public statements, particularly since Joey is no longer alive to provide his side of the story. "Everyone their 15 min of fame," she remarked, indicating her reluctance to engage with Sam.

This year, Tanya has found the space to grieve her sister and has embraced sobriety, which she credits for her newfound openness to the possibility that others may have played a role in the evidence disposal. The ongoing speculation surrounding the case has drawn criticism from Malcolm LaVergne, a former attorney for Simpson, who has urged for an end to the conjecture, arguing that it does not provide closure for the families involved.

Harvey Levin of TMZ also weighed in on the allegations, suggesting that any potential involvement by Joey Ippolito would have been limited to the disposal of evidence after the murders, rather than any direct participation in the attacks themselves. O.J. Simpson, who was acquitted in the criminal trial in 1995, was later found liable for the deaths in a civil court and passed away in 2024.
