The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially announced the names of 33 candidates cleared to contest for three senatorial seats in Kaduna State during the upcoming National Assembly elections scheduled for January 2027.

Among the notable candidates listed are former Kaduna State Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, incumbent Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, former Senator Shehu Sani, and serving Senator Sunday Marshal Katung. The Kaduna South senatorial district will see eight candidates competing, including incumbent Senator Sunday Marshal Katung of the APC. His challengers comprise Godfrey Ali Gaiya of the ADC, Abel Yashim Solomon of the ADP, and several others from different political parties.
