The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially endorsed Tamunosoye Karibi-George, also known as Soye, as she competes in the 73rd Miss World Festival taking place in Vietnam. With the grand finale approaching, the Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, has called on Nigerians to rally behind their representative and cast their votes.

In a post shared on X, Musawa praised Karibi-George's outstanding performance, highlighting her recent achievement of winning the Africa's Top Model title and securing a spot in the Top 40 of the global competition. The minister expressed pride in Soye's accomplishments, stating that her representation of Nigeria on such a prestigious stage has been remarkable.

Musawa emphasized the importance of voting, noting that the window for votes was nearing its end. "Dear Soye, seeing you carry Nigeria's name with such grace, confidence and purpose on the Miss World stage has made us incredibly proud. Emerging as Africa's Top Model and securing your place in the Top 40 is a remarkable achievement," she wrote.

The minister's message came at a critical moment, with only nine hours remaining for voting at the time of her announcement. She urged citizens to not only vote but also to spread the word about the importance of supporting Soye. "Nigerians continue to stand with you. There are just 9 hours left to vote, and the window is closing fast. Soye needs every vote and every point matters for the stages ahead," Musawa stated.

To further encourage participation, she asked Nigerians to mobilize their friends and family to join in the voting effort. "Please, let's come together, vote, share and encourage others to do the same. Queen Tamunosoye Karibi George, Nigeria is behind you," she added.
