In a significant operation, the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has seized illicit drugs valued at N3.9 billion. The drugs were handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) in Lagos State on Thursday.

The Comptroller of the Federal Operations Unit, Aliyu Gambo, oversaw the handover, which included the transfer of three suspects arrested in connection with the drug trafficking. This operation underscores the ongoing efforts by the NCS to combat drug smuggling and uphold national security.

The seizure is part of a broader initiative by the NCS to strengthen collaboration with other law enforcement agencies in Nigeria.
