The Adamawa State Police Command has successfully apprehended five young men suspected of involvement in a series of robbery incidents that have plagued the Kofare community in Yola, the state capital. This operation took place in the early hours of September 1, 2026, following intelligence reports regarding recent criminal activities in the area.

The suspects, aged between 18 and 23, are believed to be part of a gang known locally as the Shilla boys. They were arrested by a tactical team from the Kofare Divisional Police Headquarters, who were supported by vigilant members of the community.
