Serial offender arrested for attempting to sniff women's backsides in shops
Calese Crowder, a registered sex offender, has been apprehended again for harassment.

A 39-year-old man, Calese Crowder, has been arrested once more for allegedly attempting to sniff women's backsides in various shops. This incident took place on August 28 in Glendale, California, where police responded to reports of suspicious behavior in both a grocery store and a nearby clothing shop.
Crowder, a registered sex offender, has a history of similar offenses. He was previously arrested twice within a month last year for harassing women. In 2021, he gained notoriety after a video surfaced showing him crouching behind a woman, purportedly to sniff her backside, an act he later claimed was merely him tying his shoe.
On the recent occasion, Glendale police were alerted to Crowder’s actions after customers reported his behavior in the grocery store on Glenoaks Boulevard. Following these reports, officers reviewed surveillance footage and identified Crowder as the suspect. His arrest was made on the grounds of breaching his parole conditions.
Crowder is currently in custody and will remain there until his upcoming court hearing. The police have emphasized the importance of community vigilance in reporting such inappropriate behavior, which can have serious implications for public safety.
This case highlights ongoing concerns regarding repeat offenders and the challenges law enforcement faces in managing those who have a history of sexual offenses. Authorities are urging the public to remain aware and report any suspicious activities to help ensure safety in their communities.
