A 34-year-old Nigerian national has been arrested in Montclair, South Africa, on charges of drug trafficking. The suspect is expected to appear before the Durban Magistrate’s Court following his apprehension by members of the Provincial Firearms and Drugs Unit.

The South African Police Service reported that the arrest took place after the suspect was found in possession of cocaine powder, which has an estimated street value of R30,000. The police stated, "He was arrested in Montclair by members of the Provincial Firearms and Drugs Unit after he was found in possession of cocaine powder with an estimated street value of R30,000."

In addition to the drugs, authorities also discovered R5,000 in cash on the individual, which he was unable to adequately explain. The police noted, "The cash and suspected cocaine were seized during the operation."
