ADC's Kebbi Governorship Candidate Advocates Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections
Abubakar Malami urges African Democratic Congress members to prioritize unity as elections approach.

Abubakar Malami, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State, has called for unity among party members as they prepare for the upcoming 2027 general elections. During the inauguration of a 600-member ADC Campaign Council, Malami emphasized that no political ambition should come at the cost of the party's cohesion.
Malami, who previously served as the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, highlighted the importance of maintaining strong relationships within the party. He urged members to reconcile any disagreements and listen to one another, stressing that their shared community ties should take precedence over political rivalries.
"Where there are disagreements, let us reconcile. Where there are grievances, let us listen," Malami stated. He pointed out that despite differing political aspirations, party members would continue to interact in their daily lives, worship together, and support one another in their communities after the elections.
He further reinforced the idea that unity is essential for the ADC's success, stating, "Different candidates, one ADC. Different communities, one Kebbi State. Different responsibilities, one common purpose." Malami's message was clear: the ADC must prioritize cooperation and respect over division and conflict.
In his address, Malami urged party members to engage in constructive dialogue rather than allowing disagreements to escalate into public disputes. He expressed that fostering an environment of respect and service should be the guiding principle for all members of the ADC.
"We choose unity over division. We choose cooperation over rivalry. We choose reconciliation over bitterness. We choose respect over insults," he declared, reinforcing his commitment to a united front within the party as they move closer to the elections.
Malami's appeal for unity comes at a crucial time as political tensions often rise in the lead-up to elections. His leadership and emphasis on collaboration could play a significant role in shaping the ADC's strategy and success in the 2027 elections in Kebbi State.
