According to a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, Ani Iniedu, the mob action resulted in the deaths of the two suspects after they were allegedly caught in the act of trying to rob a commercial motorcyclist. Following the incident, police operatives were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and recover the bodies of the deceased suspects, which were subsequently taken to the General Hospital in Nasko for further examination.

Iniedu confirmed that the State Criminal Investigation Department in Minna is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the lynching and is working to identify those involved in the mob action.
