A Nigerian woman, Abigail Martins and her husband have welcomed their first child after 14 years of waiting. Abigail took to Facebook on Thursday, August 6, 2026 to share her testimony along with her maternity photos. In the post, she opened up about the cruel words she faced from others during the 14 years of delayed conception. According to her, people called her barren, some branded her a witch who ate all the children in her womb. Abigail further revealed that some people even said she refused to give birth just to maintain her body shape. "I thought when this day comes I am going write a very long epistle of Thanksgiving..Hmm My words have failed me apparently," she wrote. "For 14 years I have been labelled... "Barren woman wey don chop all her children for womb. Witch. Unserious woman that is unserious to have children. Some even said "she no wan spoil her shape that's why she no wan born for her husband.
