Fidson Healthcare Plc's shareholders have approved a ₦3.6 billion dividend following a record revenue of ₦119 billion. This move underscores the company's strong performance and commitment to shareholder value.

Shareholders of Fidson Healthcare Plc have approved a dividend of ₦1.50 per 50 kobo ordinary share, translating to a total payout of ₦3.6 billion, following a record financial performance that saw the company become the first pharmaceutical manufacturer in Nigeria to exceed ₦100 billion in annual revenue.
In a press release signed by Fidson’s Corporate Services Manager, Temitope Akindele, the company said the dividend was approved at its 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held virtually on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
Speaking at the meeting, the Founder and Chairman of Fidson Healthcare Plc, Dr Fidelis Ayebae, said the company generated ₦119.06 billion in revenue for the 2025 financial year, describing the performance as a significant milestone in its growth journey.
According to him, the achievement reflects the effectiveness of the company’s long-term strategy, the commitment of its workforce and the confidence of its shareholders.
Ayebae also acknowledged the Federal Government’s policy measures aimed at strengthening local pharmaceutical manufacturing, noting that the improved operating environment had enabled indigenous manufacturers to expand production and meet the increasing demand for quality medicines.
He disclosed that Fidson’s ongoing capacity expansion projects were at advanced stages and, when completed, were expected to significantly increase the company’s manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its position within the pharmaceutical industry in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Responding to shareholders’ questions, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Biola Adebayo, said the company would continue to prioritise investments in manufacturing, product development and market expansion to sustain growth.
“Our focus remains on strengthening our manufacturing capacity, expanding our product portfolio, deepening market penetration and leveraging opportunities across Africa to create sustainable value for all stakeholders,” he said.
Shareholders at the meeting commended the board and management for sustaining the company’s growth trajectory and maintaining a dividend policy that balances shareholder returns with the need to reinvest in future expansion.
They also approved other resolutions presented at the AGM, including the election and re-election of directors, the authorisation of the auditors’ remuneration and the election of members of the Statutory Audit Committee.
The meeting further highlighted the company’s continued adoption of digital platforms, including electronic annual reports, e-dividend services and virtual AGM participation, to improve shareholder engagement.
Fidson Healthcare said it remained focused on expanding access to quality pharmaceutical products while delivering sustainable returns to shareholders and supporting the development of Africa’s healthcare sector.
