In another case, police recovered a red Daihatsu Sirion valued at N4 million, which was stolen from the residence of its owner, Murtala Mohammed, in the Yan-Awaki area of Unguwa Uku, Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State.

The vehicle, reported stolen on June 15, was found abandoned two days later within Tarauni LGA. Police said efforts were ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.

Similarly, an ash-coloured Hyundai Elantra 2015 model worth N12 million, stolen from an event centre in Kano, was recovered following a coordinated operation along the Kano-Kaduna axis.

The owner, Anas Balarabe Uba of Dandago Quarters, reported the theft on June 12. Investigators later traced the vehicle to Zaria in Kaduna State, where suspects abandoned it and fled upon sighting security operatives. The vehicle has since been returned to the owner.

The Command also recovered a Toyota ambulance belonging to EHA Special Hospital, Kano, which was stolen during an attack on the hospital's security guards.

Police said two unidentified suspects attacked the guards with a sharp knife on June 15 and carted away the ambulance, solar batteries, and other valuables.

Following investigations by officers from the Badawa Division, the ambulance was recovered abandoned along Zaria Road and subsequently returned to the hospital management.

The beneficiaries, including EHA Special Hospital, commended the police for their swift response, professionalism, and transparent process in returning the recovered vehicles.

Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori reaffirmed the Command's commitment to protecting lives and property, warning criminals that Kano State would not serve as a safe haven for car thieves and fraudsters.

He also urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to support ongoing investigations and crime prevention efforts.
