Nollywood actress, Nancy Isime, has shared her views on the role of money in relationships and marriage, stating that financial stability is important for couples planning to start a family.

She made the remarks during a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, where she discussed how financial challenges can affect married life.

Speaking on the podcast, the actress said she does not believe that marrying a poor partner guarantees a fulfilling life, explaining that financial pressure can take a toll on couples and their families.

"Marriage is not a poverty alleviation scheme but I don't believe marrying a poor man can make you happy.

"When rent is due, school fees can't be paid and there is no food in the house, it is difficult to have a fantastic life.

"I am not saying there is no love without money. But love and fantastic life are not the same," she said.

According to Nancy Isime, love alone may not be enough to sustain a comfortable family life when couples are faced with financial difficulties.

The actress also advised intending couples to attain a reasonable level of financial stability before getting married and raising children, stressing that adequate preparation can help reduce pressure in marriage.
