Nigerian man arrested in Canada for alleged sexual assaults on two females

A 33-year-old Nigerian man, identified as Olusegun Onidare, has been arrested in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, following allegations of sexual assault involving two females, including a minor. The Peel Regional Police confirmed the arrest, which took place on September 2, 2026, after separate reports of assaults emerged on August 31.
The first incident reportedly occurred at a shopping mall located near Dixie Road and Clark Boulevard, where a woman in her 20s was allegedly approached and assaulted while she was shopping. Later that same day, a girl under the age of 18 was allegedly assaulted at a transit terminal situated around Central Park Drive and Queen Street East. In this instance, the suspect is said to have engaged the girl in conversation before the assault took place.
Following the incidents, the Peel Regional Police issued a public appeal for information regarding the suspect's identity. A member of the public recognized Onidare from the details released by the police and subsequently contacted investigators, which led to his arrest.
Onidare has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of breach of probation order. Authorities noted that he does not have a fixed address and is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
